In My Mind's Eye: The Remote

Wifey’s Story

So Hubby asks Wifey to pass the remote while staring intently at the TV screen. She gets up, hands him the remote without a word and return to her seat, fuming.

Well, in my mind's eye, this is how it really went down:

Wifey hands Hubby the remote...then he grabs her wrist and pulls her into his arms! They laugh out loud as he tickles her. As they calm down, he looks into her eyes and expresses his undying love and appreciation, closing with a kiss. Then he sends her off with a pat on the backside :)

Hubby’s Story

So Hubby asks Wifey to pass the remote while staring intently at the TV screen. It’s 7:58pm and while trying to catch the last moments of their show, there’s a very critical game starting at 8:00 that he can’t miss. Wifey gets up with an attitude, practically throws the remote at him, and goes back to her seat without even saying sorry!

Now in my mind’s eye this is how it really went down:

Hubby asks Wifey to pass the remote while staring intently at the TV screen. She says “No. Let me change the channels for you.” “Naw, that won’t work, pass it here.” She says “I’ve got all the channels memorized and I’ve got a mean trigger finger. Try me.” “Alright…CNN. TBS. BET. TBN.—she changes the channels correctly at lightning speed. “Alright…ESPN!” she changes it to Lifetime. “Ah ha!” he exclaims. She snickers “Just messing with you” as she puts it on ESPN. :)
