#Giving Tuesday is a national initiative that encourages people to make a difference by making a charitable donation to the organizations that they love. But though this national effort focuses on monetary giving, giving in it's essence is so much more! In fact, I would like to propose that monetary giving isn't the most impactful form of giving.
Over this entire year, I have discovered that TIME and PRESENCE are some of the most valuable resources to have and give! And we are all EQUALLY RICH in them! Taking a moment to call a friend. Choosing to connect and share quality time with family and friends. And most importantly for moms me like , being ENGAGED with the children during the limited time we have to spend together everyday! We all know what is like to try to connect with people who don't give us their undivided attention. Being PRESENT and ENGAGED while GIVING your TIME?...It's a powerful thing.
SO GIVE TODAY!
You can give in so many ways! If you're from Baltimore, MD like us, there are lots of ideas at B'more Gives More. You can always support a non-profit that's near and dear to you. For us, that would be A Friend to the Homeless, Inc and Dream Girls Mentoring Program. Check them out and so many more.
Monetary giving is great but when you don't have it, giving your TIME and your PRESENCE is even greater.
